  1. Uses a timeline to lay out the pattern of news stories involving the spread of swine flu throughout the country, particularly in Kentucky.
    "Without the smaller newspapers and news sites writing and broadcasting stories concerning the issue in their localities, the people of that area would have no involvement with the issue."
    "We need to read news articles that have a personal connection with our lives in order to truly understand what is going on in the world. Why? Well, as I have exemplified in the last paragraph news is more exciting, but ultimately, more interesting to read when it has something to do with your interests."
    Very good detail on national coverage of spread, mentions local coverage but doesn't really go into detail.
    Overall, very good paper, would like to see some more to do with blogs and a little more in depth with the local news.

  2. Aims---to explain how the H1N1 virus evolved throughout the news.
    Methods---Uses a sort of timeline to describe the progress of the story.
    Materials---Uses various local and national news sources.
    Keywords/Passages---"Therefore, I feel that though swine flu is a major issue in Kentucky’s society today, I also wonder at how much longer the story can last."
    Strengths---topic researched well and many examples given
    Weaknesses---needs more personal input
    Overall, a very well written paper
